BLOODJINN (pronounced blood-gin) was formed in early August of 1999 by brothers, drummer Justin and vocalist, Joel Collins. In September of 1999 the band went into the studio and recorded their first release, entitled “To Bleed The Demon , for the independent record company, Flatline Records, which was owned by Bloodjinn's singer, Joel Collins. The cd was an instant success, getting rave reviews in zines, online webzines and by highly known independent record company distributors. Bloodjinn also contributed two tracks for a limited split release with the bands, Drained (Martyr Music), A Common Thread (Fleshban Records), & Standing Tall (Genet Records). Instantly after their debut release, Bloodjinn then locked a record deal with Tribunal Records, who is also known for putting out many great hardcore & metal bands in November of 1999. Bloodjinn began working on their next release "Murder Eternal: Seven Short Stories For The Slightly Pyschotic", which was their first full length album. Bloodjinn had also remained hard at work touring the eastern half of the United States numerous of times, getting outstanding crowd responses an soon began to tour the east coast in support of the album "Murder Eternal", which was released in May of 2000. This release had many great reviews from highly named zines, such as "Terrorizer", "Slave", "Resound", as well as, "Eclipse" magazines and online zines, such as "Lambgoat", "Aversion", "Digital Metal", & "Cornzine", just to name a few. They began playing well known festivals such as, Hellfest & Furnace Fest.

In February of 2001, Bloodjinn made their way to Southwest Studios in Roanoke, VA to record two new tracks for a very anticipated split release titled "Born In Hell, Raised In Jail" accompanied by The End Of All, Acedia & Sever The Fallen, which released on Tribunal Records in August of 2001. With "Born In Hell, Raised In Jail" being their fourth release & numerous of tours under their belts with remarkable bands such as, The End Of All, Season Of Fire, and Caliban, to name a few, Bloodjinn received many new fans across the nation. Meanwhile, after the split release of "Born In Hell, Raised In Jail", Bloodjinn signed a deal with Goodfellow Records in May of 2001. They spent the rest of 2001 working on their newest release, "Leave This World Breathing", which was recorded in January of 2002 at The Basement Studios (Between The Buried And Me, Undying, Swift). This album showed only hard work and dedication, through being a concept album, written from a short story the band created. The album reflects life, and how human beings often live their lives without care and concern for others, as well as, holding someone inside your heart throughout life as they pass away (Leave This World Breathing). The band then begun working hard creating new fans all over the world by touring consistently. The new album has received a numerous amount of incredible reviews already, as well as, many webzine's, "Band of the Month".

Bloodjinn are still determined to create more thought provoking music, as well as, tour the entire planet. With a band of only dedicated members, the future holds no boundaries!
